Does it look like other people are breezing along with luck, love, and endless opportunities?
This used to happen to me all the time.
I used to wonder:
- Where’s their struggle?
- What work did they do?
- What about the years of waiting while they “pay their dues”?
Some people post stuff online that makes it look like they’re livin’ the dream.
And one of the fastest, most surefire ways to bring your mood down is to look at everyone’s online feed.
The same is sometimes true of “real life” feeds.
Many people present in person only the side they want you to see.
It’s easy to be deceived into believing you have more troubles, unhappiness, and stress than anyone around you.
We’re all dealing with something, whether we choose to share it or not.
It makes it a nicer place for all of us to live.
Resist comparing yourself to others.
Resist measuring your own level of happiness with your perception of those of the people around you.
It doesn’t serve you well, and it’s likely an inaccurate gauge of what’s really going on anyway.
The reality is you will never walk (or dance) in someone else’s shoes… only your own.
Do what you can to create peace in your daily life.
Let your life journey take you anywhere – even to your own happiness, which is WAY better for you than anyone else’s.
