When I Wasted My Life – Soulful Strut

It's all in the SOLE!

It’s all in the SOLE!

My corporate job was the “make sense” thing to do, but I hated every minute of it. I liked the money but that was it. I was in no way passionate about what I was doing.
My life was meaningless.

All my thoughts, ideas and dreams were about dance.

It wasn’t easy for me to quit, but I knew I wanted more.

I feel out of sorts wearing skirts, heels, and pearl earrings… and I was bored sitting all day in meetings and behind a desk.

I felt like I was wasting my life and my gifts.

I knew I was not making the best use of my time.

I forced myself to ignore the heart palpitations I experienced just before quitting.

I still get those feelings today as the turn every corner towards something new, different, unknown, scary, and of course – EXCITING.

If there’s something you want to do, something you think about everyday, trust yourself just a wee bit more.

It’s going to be 2020 real soon. Even if you’re not a planner or someone who writes down goals (I’m not), move everyday towards what you want.

Make good use of your time.

If you are fearful, that fear will likely exists until you make a MOVE; a move past – or through whatever you fear.

Courageous acts make you proud of yourself.

Figure out your next move and…
ignore that doubt filled voice inside you that says:
– Play it safe.
– Don’t get too cute.
– Don’t rock the boat.
– Leave well enough alone.
– If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
– What if, what if, what it?

You don’t have to see the entire dream-dance as complete.

Take action: move, reach, act, pile’ and then of course, leap…
leap believing that the net will appear. #Life101 #asklaurie
